This is one of four vases in the Sicily collection. The creative collaboration between celebrated chef Yotam Ottolenghi and his good friend, artist Ivo Bisignano, led this time to four exuberant hand-painted ceramic vases.

The collection is based on the Testa di Moro - Sicilian hand painted ceramic pots in the shape of crowned heads that adorn Italian balconies. Combined with the Ottolenghi exuberance and decorated with colourful spots and brush strokes in an eclectic palette of primary and secondary colours, the vases are a cheerful ode to a distinctly Sicilian aesthetic.

Yotam Ottolenghi is the restaurateur and chef-patron of six London-based delis and restaurants. He is the author of eight best-selling cookery books, including renowned titles as Plenty, Jerusalem and Simple. Amongst several prizes, Yotam won two James Beard awards in the US and the UK National Book Award. Yotam has been a weekly columnist for the Saturday Guardian for over thirteen years and is a regular contributor to The New York Times. His commitment to the championing of vegetables, as well as ingredients once seen as ‘exotic’ has led to what some call “The Ottolenghi effect”. This is shorthand for the creation of a meal which is full of colour, flavour, bounty and sunshine’. For Serax, he translated this culinary philosophy into the FEAST collection: a vibrant range of tableware created in collaboration with Italian artist Ivo Bisignano.
